Aéromaritme had several lives.

It was first created by the "Chargeurs Réunis"  in 1929, and it started its freight flights in 1935. The company closed down in 1945.

Aéromaritme Internationale was brought back to life again in 1987 as the chartering branch of UTA, a French airline company. It also had regular flights to Reunion Island and the French West Indies. Its planes and crew were also hired by many airline companies, for it owned a particularly interesting fleet of Boeing 737.

These airplanes (737 300 and 400) had been bought by UTA, for the opening of European lines was expected.

The takeover of UTA by Air France at the end of 1992, put an end to Aéromaritime's story.
